deep within the universe 

that folds us in its 

ambivalent arms.

This space telescope

is not just a tool

it is a paean to divinity 

a hymn of praise 

uniting thousands of voices

in harmony

to show that humanity is 

still capable of working

in concert. 

Let us not say 

what the worth of that can be 

let us believe instead 

that there is no greater gift

than that of coming together

and believing in 

what we may make possible 

if our dreams are large enough

to encompass 

one another.
