Melusine is waiting
in the river
for you to stop by
she didn’t tell you
that it was forbidden
she didn’t remind you
that she is half-serpent
on Saturdays
she may also have wings
and be cursed
and occasionally be a
succubus
there are a lot of things
that she didn’t manage
to fit in her text message
maybe she figured
you had your suspicions already
or that everyone’s family
and friends
are a little funny.
